The writing on his prints are Cree-- he was born/raised up around Thunder Bay, Ontario so I'm guessing he's Ojibwe/Cree-- Oji/Cree. . . the term "Anishinabe" can be used to reference the Three Fires Tribes (Ojibwe/Odawa/Potawatomi) only or can be expanded to mean all Algonkian-speaking tribes. Algonkian speakers would include tribes on the Atlantic seaboard (Pequots, Algonkins), Great Lakes tribes (Three Fires, Menominee, Kickapoo, Sac/Fox, and even Plains tribes (Cree, Salteaux, Blackfeet).
